Innovative educational formats for all
E.C.O. participates in the Educational Summer Lab
That E.C.O. Institute for Ecology develops and offers studies and certificate courses for professional nature conservationists and specialists (https://e-c-o.at/trainings-en.html), is known to many. That we also strive for younger people interested in nature and are also involved in the development of innovative educational formats, perhaps less so.
In fact, since 2017 we have been part of the Educational Lab in the Lakeside Science & Technology Park in Klagenfurt in the SustainAbility Lab Module. We run it together with the Institute of Networked and Embedded Systems, the Institute of Instructional and School Development (both University of Klagenfurt), the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, the World Commission on Protected Areas and the Alpine Convention Alliance (Bündnis Alpenkonvention). The Educational Lab sees itself as a research laboratory for new forms of education, training and further education.
The Educational Summer Labs are now offered for the first time to young researchers aged 8-11. Together with the professionals from SustainAbility Lab (E.C.O.), BIKO mach MINT and product life lab (plia) and the animation expert Anne Ziegenfuss, the pupils can be creative, experiment, film, build & programme LEGO robots, upcycle plastic and much more – inside & outside!
There are three dates to choose from (8:00–16:00 each)
- Summer Lab 01) 29.07. to 02.08.2019 (5 days)
