Farewell 2009, Welcome 2010
New Year’s Reception at E.C.O.
The E.C.O. office is traditionally closed from Christmas Eve to Epiphany. When office work was resumed in 2010, partners and friends of E.C.O. were invited to a New Year’s reception where Hanns Kirchmeir offered opening words followed by sparkling wine or juice (depending on preference and age) made from the local Hirschbirn pear variety from the Pöllauer Tal. Michael Jungmeier presented colourful impressions of E.C.O.’s work and provided an overview of project areas at home and in far away countries.
Everyone enjoyed the buffet and there was ample opportunity to talk outside the usual constraints of everyday work. The guests included 19 children and they had a great time thanks to the very carefully planned children’s programme (Leo’s game den, Caro’s chocolate fountain, Christian’s home cinema). The team of E.C.O. would like to thank everybody for coming and making the start into 2010 so enjoyably successful!
