As part of the expansion of the Koralm railway line, ÖBB built an excavated soil landfill in the catastral municipality of Pribelsdorf. In an area within the gravel pit, the excavated material was placed in layers for eight years in accordance with a submission plan and recultivated after reaching the planned height. E.C.O. provided technical support for the material placement and subsequent recultivation as part of the officially appointed construction supervision mandate. The tasks include regular site visits to check that the implementation complies with the official permit, the specification of measures and their technical implementation support, and the corresponding documentation for the authorities.

Animal ecology aspects were also taken into account, such as the protection of the bee-eater breeding there and the considerate handling of amphibians on the construction site.

Advice was given on the conscientious control of emerging neophytes. Thus, the achieved forest vegetation of oaks and hornbeams as well as a positive decrease in recultivation could be achieved, and problem plants such as Japanese knotweed, touch-me-not or ragweed could not establish themselves.
