Natural area management in the SADC region
Starting signal for training offensive

As E.C.O., we are contributing our expertise to a key international project and supporting the sustainable development of transboundary protected areas in the SADC region (Southern African Development Community): On behalf of IUCN Eastern and Southern Africa and KfW, together with Susanne Pecher Consulting, we are conducting an update of the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for the region's protected area managers and rangers. The aim is to identify current skills gaps and create a sound basis for a training program 2025-2028 and thus sustainably strengthen nature, people and cross-border cooperation. Planned measures include workshops, interviews and the development of strategic recommendations for training prioritization.
