Forest ecology

We map, document and assess your forests using state-of-the-art methods, evaluate their condition and the possibilities for near-natural management and calculate the ecosystem services that forests can provide.

In doing so, we consider the forest both as an economic and human habitat, which is characterized by human use, as well as the potential that lies dormant in our natural forests in times of climate crisis, loss of biodiversity and lack of carbon storage.

To this end, we are conducting research in several international projects on mapping, aerial image analysis and digital recording methods, which are then used in our projects.
