New Course
Management of Protected Areas
Amli from Ethiopia meets Christian from the Vienna Woods. Jan from Slovakia meets Augusta from Ecuador. The Ukraine meets Germany, the Carpathian Mountains meet the Alps. A new “heat” of the MSc course on “Management of Protected Areas” has begun.
In the first module, twenty participants from twelve countries met for the first time, familiarised themselves with Klagenfurt University and attended their first courses.
Most of the participants can look back on several years in the management of national parks, biosphere parks and other protected areas. In Klagenfurt, they will receive an additional, international qualification. The course is organised by E.C.O. together with Klagenfurt University. International institutions such as the IUCN, WWF International, UNESCO, the Ramsar Convention and the Biodiversity Convention are permanent members of the Advisory Board that has supported the course since its beginning.
We would like to wish the participants a good start and hope that their careers will profit from a powerful impetus.
