Visitor infrastructure at the Lovcen National Park

Part of the Lovcen National Park is located in the Bay of Kotor (Montenegro), one of South-East Europe’s up-and-coming tourist regions. The Republic of Montenegro is pinning its hopes on tourism as a means of significantly improving the country’s economic situation. For many years, there has been discussion about a cable car project in the Lovcen mountains. This cable car would make the national park more accessible to visitors. A consortium was commissioned to carry out a feasibility study for the cable car project. Within this consortium, E.C.O. is responsible for the ecological risk assessment.
