The aim of the project was to record the plant species diversity on a total of 200 study plots in the Chiemgau and Karwendel (Germany). The results of the vegetation mapping were processed by us as reference data for large-scale modeling by the client. In addition to the field surveys, due to the large number of forest plots, we conducted a method workshop to ensure the greatest possible homogeneity with data from another vegetation mapping project from the Berchtesgaden National Park, which was also implemented by E.C.O.
