Biotope mapping Tyrol – Landeck
Biotope mapping provides valuable information about natural habitats and near to nature communities of landscapes and regions. It is an important basis for preventive nature conservation and the starting point for regional planning and landscaping in general, and for zoning and technical planning in particular. The 15-year old biotope mapping of the district of Landeck was revised in the course of a project in the Tyrolean Oberland. The survey was carried out at a scale of 1:4,000 as specified by the Tyrolean Regional Government. Special attention was paid to the complete recording of wet habitats, such as bogs, bank-near woods or wet meadows.
