In the course of the international PANet 2010 project, the management of networks of protected areas is to be analysed and improved. The Office of the Carinthian Provincial Government, subdivision for nature conservation, is the comprehensively responsible lead partner in this project. E.C.O. supports the lead partner in the cross-national coordination of eight project partners in Central and Eastern Europe. Furthermore, E.C.O. is entrusted with the handling of the technical work package which includes an analysis of methods, theories and best practice examples. The documents are collected by the partners in the PANet 2010 project and are then evaluated and entered into the IPAM tool box by E.C.O. Details on the project are available on the website www.panet2010.info.
