Global warming causes a shifting of climate-related vegetation zones. The basics concerning this were to be compiled in a research project. They were aimed at constituting the basis for the development and implementation of forestry culture strategies in specific locations of the lower forest line in the Pannonian-tinged lower areas in Austria. Apart from doing literature research, also foresters were asked on site about their experiences. The results were processed in a “green book” for forestry practice.
