The new programme period of the ÖPUL (Austrian programme to promote agricultural production methods compatible with the requirements of the protection of the environment, extensive production, and the preservation of natural habitats) 2015-2020 has started this year. E.C.O. carried out the evaluation of 125 agricultural holdings in the Pongau in Salzburg in summer and fall 2014. Main targets of the project were the consultation and joint adaption of the contracted nature conservation measures on an operational level. The evaluation process was carried out fully digital with tablets and the GIS-Application “map&go” whose development has been accompanied by E.C.O. from the beginning. The data input was done using the new online data base of the AMA (Agrar Market Austria) “NALA”.
