A central objective of this project is to investigate the effects of different management forms and / or measures on the state of selected protected species (mainly habitat types of the Habitats Directive, species and biotopes of the Red List). Another objective is the comparison of different monitoring approaches with respect to their significance in connection with the respective method used. The core factors are survey frequency, survey design and financing model. The most appropriate examination methods can be identified for selected protected goods, which is particularly relevant in the context of meeting the reporting obligation on the impact of conservation measures on the conservation status of protected assets to the EU. The entire project will be implemented within three years in form of a baseline certification of the monitoring sites Hochobir, Schütt / Dobratsch, Keutschach, Gailtaler Almen and Metschach.
