The deciduous forest stock of the Gößgraben in the outer zone of the Hohe Tauern National Park represents a relic of the vegetation of the Atlantic period (approx. 5000 BC). Based on aerial photography-supported documentation of the vegetation, our Institute developed long-term strategies to safeguard this stock.
