In the Pöllauer Tal nature park E.C.O. accompanied a pilot project for the implementation of a conservation plan in the framework of ÖPUL 2000. The “landscape performance” of the farmers in the nature park was to be ascertained and compensated. In doing so, the chances offered by the ÖPUL instrument for landscape and agriculture, possible problems in planning and implementation and to what extent the proposed measures were approved or disapproved of by the individual businesses could be shown.
