European Parks' Academy
First round successfully concluded!
In cooperation with IUCN´s World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA) and financial support of the Austrian Government, E.C.O. has just concluded the first European Parks Academy in Klagenfurt.
The academy aimed at protected area executives and professionals to improve their knowledge on protected area financing and governance and on the new IUCN Green List Standard. Two weeks of intensive work with the IUCN and WCPA experts, together with managers of well-managed Austrian protected areas gave lots of opportunities for discussing challenges and exchanging experiences of good management practices and successful stories of conservation.
